Plan for Success

Planting a garden can be done in many ways, but the most successful gardens I’ve grown, or helped grow, were well-planned. Here’s some of my tips:

• Know your garden zone, especially the frost dates.

• Choose seed varieties well adapted for your area and the season.

• Figure out your planting dates based by comparing the number of days to harvest with frost dates.

• Determine how many plants you can grow by calculating the seed spacing with how many square feet of garden space is available.
