      <image:caption>When the male focused on me his glare appeared to carry some anger, but this had a lot more to do with my preconceived human perceptions about close-set eyes, sharp brow ridges, and direct eye contact than it had to do with any emotion the bird was actually feeling toward me. In reality, he was probably just making sure I wasn't going to come any closer to him while he hunted.</image:caption>
